Serviceberry

Multi-stemmed small tree or large shrub.  Heavy stems are covered with white blossoms early spring followed by dark green foliage.  Brilliant red-orange fall leaves.  Light gray bark.  Moderately spreading branches resist ice breakage. Purplish, sweet fruit.  Prefers well-drained soil.
